Dear George

You must have thought I had
forgotten all about the stove I promised
you for your Camp Lodge! The one
I am sending you however I had to bring
with me as I never could have sent it
from Greece. Under separate cover I
am sending you a piece of marble
from the Acropolis in Athens. It is a
chip of the Pentilicus marble from the
Parthenon - 5th century B.C. I am
sure it will be of interest to any of
your boys who have studied ancient
history or Greek.

We have been here in the USA for
a short 3 months and leave on
Wednesday the 14th, to go back to

"Greece. Our address will be Y.M.C.A, 44 Odos Metropoleos, Athens.
Sorry we have not been here long enough to see you, but such is
life!
Best of luck to you in your work.
Sincerely
Herb Lansdale."
