Casco Bay, Maine.

We have a rock from Casco Bay, Maine. Three noted figures are
associated with this place, Longfellow, Admiral Peary, and Harriet
Beecher Stowe whose book "Uncle Tom's Cabin," did much to precipitate
the Civil War. Admiral Peary was the first man to reach either the
North or South Pole. He successfully reached the North Pole, April 6,
1909.

We are indebted to Mr. R. S. Huntington for this interesting rock.
Mr. Huntington has done much for the boys of Greenville and especially
this camp. To attempt any further descrition of Casco Bay would be to
duplicate his interesting letter.
