The State of Alabama Shelby County

To any lawful officer of the State Complaint on oath having been made before me that the offence of Perjury has been committed and accusing Edmond Moore a Slave thereof you are therefore commanded forthwith to arrest Edmond Moore a Slave and bring him before me or some other Justice of the peace at my office in Montevallo this 5th day of November 1855 Hiram Sumner J.P.

To any Legal officer of Said county Greeting you are hereby commanded to Summons Edmond Storrs Frank King Peter King Slaves if to be found in your county to appear before me or some other Justice of the peace in and for said county at my office in Montevallo on the 5th day of Nov 1855 to give evidence in a certain case wherein the State of Alabama is Plff, and Edmond Moore a Slave is Deft, in behalf of the State herein fail not and make due return as the law directs Given under my hand and Seal Nov 5th 1855 H Sumner J.P.
