Tremont Branch - 1916

The total circulation was 83692 an increase of 7047 or 9.2% - juvenile circulation 67790, increase 7686 or 12.7%. The adult circulation of 15902 showed a decrease of 639, a decrease in fiction of 761 in foreign books of 270 and a heavy increase in the 700's. The use of adult Polish was only a little less than that of last year, but the juvenile fell from 696 to 283 owing to the unavoidable lack of books. We have done comparatively little reference work with Lincoln High per pile but several West Technical boys have made good use of our dictionaries and have depended on our magazines for their material for oral themes. During the winter of 1915-1916 a club of working girls under the leadership of the librarian met weekly in the school office but is now disbanded as most of the members are attending
