Winchester relating to the turnpike; an account of mishaps on

near Anderson; discusses the plan and cost of his house to be
built in Sewanee, preferring Mr. Castleberry to Mr. Judd to do
the work; messages to Bishop Hopkins. 3 pp.

violation of cutting timber near the railroad track. 1 p.

stating that Mr. Kelly was not trespassing when cutting timber
near the railroad tracks; that the timber is on the University
property and was cut for the use of the University under his instructions;

The planning of An avenue, giving his suggestions; the clearing
of woods for several buildings, and also the clearing of trees

avenues, suggesting to have cross avenues named after the Dioceses;

of ownership of timber along the R. R. track - the statement from
the Board of Directors of the Sewanee Mining Co.; informing him
that the Company authorized free passes over their roads for the
President and Executive Committee of the University of the South
