munication of the 5th ult. in-
viting me to be present at the
laying of the corner-stone of
the University of the South came
to hand in good time. I am
just now able to say that
God willing, I know of noth-
ing to prevent my attending
on that interesting occasion.
I expect to be accompanied
by my friend Judge Baker.
