Raleigh Aug 10th 1861 Rev and dear [] I enclose your bill for advertising University of the South 3 times. It can [] into my convenience. You will be charged no more if it remains till the meeting. By the way I advertised last year, I think, to the amount of $6 or $9. The bill was sent to Bishop Elliott but no notice, as far as my knowledge extends was ever taken of it. I sent the bill to him myself, but got no reply. I think it was for publishing a card by Bishop Otey (Sept 6th) second notice sent of the meeting if the Board of Trustees and sending off papers to 6 different persons, Editors []
