Berry juice; Wash berries. Put in a pan and cover with cold
water. Let boil till you see that juice is out of most of
the fruit. Strain and throw out skins. Add sugar to taste
now and stir. For a quart of berries, add about two tablespoons
sugar.
Put juice in hot jars. Screw on the lid tight. Let boil
in canner from three to five miniutes to seal. Cool. Store in
a cool place like the cellar.
Bertha makes very good elderberry juice which she is fond
of. She plans to make huckleberry juice when she gets in some
more berries this weekend.
