I wrote you a few days since
that Mr Swan would have drawings
with you by the 1st. Oct. It now ap
pears that not being able to finish
them in time he suspended or aban
doned the work. This I regret, for
having taken an enlarged view of
the work you have in hand, if he
had completed his work I think
you would have had a sketch be
fore you visited to your present &
future wants.
