am to go to the General Convention & will take my wife & little
ones in to N. C. on my way. We will be coming back about
Nov. or December. That is my present plan if I can execute
it. Lucius is preparing a letter for you with a statement of his
act, he will send it in by George. He proposes to go down the
river with the bridal party as far as Vicksburg & then accompany
Mrs. Hilliard to her plantation & go to his own.

any man ever had. The youngest my little Sally is now a fat,
hearty chubby little cherub. You would be delighted to see them
as I would be to have you. Hamilton is doing very well under
his mother's tuition & is growing a good deal. Fanny has gone
from Franklin on a short visit to Nashville to see the bridal
party off. So has all the Dr's family. The Dr. is in Miss.
looking for a plantation.

We are all in good health.

With my tender love to you I remain dear
mother your affectionate
