Dear Sir

I wrote to you some time since
and it seems you failed to see
my letter or surely you would
of answered it sooner. Since I wrote
to you I have written to Bishop
Quintard of Nashville he write me
you are the Genetleman to transmit
by Business.

I furnished lumber to
the amount of seven hundred dollars in
the year of 1859 for the purpose of
building a church called University
South near Winchester Tennessee and
I am very much in need of money
at present and would be glad if in
your power to let me have the money
or put me on the right track to
[make] it. Bishop Polk told me in
Lu[lih]ana during the war that - just -
so soon as the war closed I should
have my money. Please do me the
kindness to answer this letter immediately
as the war has left me in a[?]
condition & I musttry and do something
by way of collecting my old debts.
Address me at Carl Spring, GA
via Rome.

Very Respectfully,
J. G. Harrison
