I was
on Saturday last in receipt of your esteemed
favor of 5 ult (circular) kindly inviting me to
be present at laying of the Corner Stone of the
"University of the South" on 10th inst, & requesting
an early reply -- I can assure you that in
South Western Georgia among those attached to
our Church, & even outside of it, your enterprise
is looked upon with great favor & an earnest desire
that it may have all the success your most
