Hillsborough, N. Car. Sept. 27th '60
My Dear Sir,
Your kind invitation was rec'd
to-day, for which I thank you, & which I
accept with pleasure.
Bp. Atkinson will be at the meeting, if
nothing serious hinders.
If you see the "Church Intelligencer",
you will notice that Bp. Gregg's appoint=
ments at home cover the period of our
meeting. Indeed, he informed me, some
time since, that a journey to Sewanee was
"too formidable" in the present lack of
Rail Roads in the Southwest. I am very
sorry he will not be with us.
Hoping to see you soon, with best
wishes for hourself & Lady,
very truly yours,
M. A. Curtis.
