Yr official notice was
rec'd some days since. I regret that our
meeting is to be so late in the season. It may
prevent my attendance, as Oct. is the month
which I always give in{underlined} toto{underlined} to my visita
tions. If I did not suppose that "the Prin-
cipal Three" of our Board had very good
reason for it, I would be inclined to ask
why an earlier day was not chosen, when
we might have hoped for the presence of
many of our friends who would then be
at Beersheba, or on their way home from
some more northern sojourn. I greatly
desire to be present at that meeting, but
