yours of the 12th enclosing an invitation
to attend the laying of corner stone,
of the principle building of the Uni
=versity. I regret that my business will
not permit me to attend. I hope
that the most sanguine wishes of the
friends of the enterprise may be
realized, among this number allow
me to enrol myself.
