Resolved

That the President of the Board be reques-
-ted to communicate with Mr Thos. W. Adams in
reference to the plans suggested by him for the
erection of a collegiate building by citizens
of Louisiana and to give the assent of this
Board to the same and that we gratefully
appreciate the interest expressed by him in
reference thereto.

make in the absence of Co. Barney, such ar-

resolution, passed at the meeting of the Board
of Trustees of the University of the South, held
at Columbia S.C. Oct 18, 1861
