No letters from you for weeks past Nance. I'm sorry I've set such a poor example. I cannot say I have lost one whit of my ardor, though I can't find time or new inspiration to express it. Can you imagine life without music, & scenery I'm accustomed to? Unhealthiness, depressing weather, no feminine interest, & no games too, & homesickness leave me tired of it all. I live for the day of my homecoming & fear I must stagnate mentally, & in spirit till then. Darling it's hell without you. My world centres about you and when you're 1500 miles away there's no real happiness. I will respond in a way that will delight you pet when your lips ^(L not H) seek mine.
