in unusual clarity & deceptively close are snowy borders to menacing storm cloud. Some fine as silk, hanging in long tresses wind melting, Some wispy, some like cream wool. They who have never left the ground regard them perhaps differently but having often flown above them, under them, and through their agitated mass, feel I understand their whims & know their moods. Soon the driving wind will blot out the moonlight & will feel the fury of the oncoming storm. There's vivid lightning in the background as I watch. The beach is a few paces from my bed, beyond is a coral lagoon & further out a stormy sea is breaking on the reef. It's a wildly beautiful night and I thrill to it. I wish you were here to give the atmosphere a purpose.
