My Own Darling Husband,
Another long spell since I received a letter, I am a little amused at my own reactions. Knowing me darling you can imagine what they are like . Every night when I get home I look first for a letter. Sometimes, when I am so sure I will get one to night, I ask, and when Mum tells me no letter, I grumble a bit so she won't guess who disappointed I am. I tell her it is a great life, & what have I got a husband for etc. etc. Of course Mum defends you, says you might be sick or some such thing, & it blows over till the next night. May receives three of four letters a week, I get one once a fortnight if I am lucky. My temper which is really a shield for disappointment dies away in no time & I go on building castles in the air for tomorrow night. You can't be ill all the time Alan, and I find referring to the dates on your letter you havn't put a pen to paper for days on end. Yes, I am a nagging wife. I love you deeply just the same though, but you should write me more letters. Maybe you don't realise you write so few, if you are kept very busy you wouldn't,
please write to me as often as you can.
