Since I started this letter I was interrupted to type a letter (strictly business darling). I have it completed now & have had a trip to the Canteen since for a Coco-cola. I told you I have a promotion, the end of my table is along side of Mr. Marlins, the phone stands on his but only arms length away from me. My duties are my darling, dust his table in the morning & answer the phone, & I do all his typing. I love my job now, I wish I as in the W. A. A. F. again I would have three stripes doing this work. A lot of chaps come in to see him on business during the day, it is a busy little section. Mr. Marlin says to me "say Nancy get me Sgt. O'Keefe on the phone; I rush around frantically ^trying to find the phone book, & in [illegible] second trace the number & in less than one minute Sgt O'Keefe & Mr Marlin are discussing their business. You are a lucky man Lt. Hooper, your wife is a wonderfully competent woman, you know I am going for my commission, crawling I am. Anyway honey, I am putting in a good day here, filling in my time till my precious husband comes home, & am having lots of fun.
