Copy Colonial Secretary's Office 29 August 1826 Sir In transmitting to you the accompanying Plan for an Hospital at Moreton Bay, I am instructed by His Excellency the Governor to convey to you His authority for proceeding as early as possible with this building. A copy of the Estimate of the Articles necessary for the purpose is also enclosed, and I have to request that you will inform me what means you have in store of proceeding with this undertaking as well as what you will require. The Building is to be of Stone or brick and His Excellency is desirous of knowing what Artificers are on the settlement and what others will be required. I have &c &c "Signed" Alex McLeay
