Sir I have the honor to forward for the information of His Excellency the Governor, a return showing the extent of Land now clear at the settlement of Moreton Bay, the quantity actually cul- tivated, the quantity some with wheatThe quantity sown with maize, and the quantity prepared for maize, but as there is no maize for seed now on the Settlement, the latter must remain unsown till the arrival of the next vessel. There were twelve acres of land prepared in May for wheat, but in consequence of no seed being forwarded by the Isabella (agreeable to the requisition) it was planted with maize, the wheat received by the Amity is too late for this years crop, I regret Alexander McLeay Esquire Colonial Secretary.
