NB. The only men in Irons are the Prisoners who [acc]ompanied me in The Amity and the Goal[sic] [ga]ng. All the others were indulged previous to my arrival at the Settlement -- Capt'n Bishop reports the Conduct of the Prisoners as being worthy of the indulgences. I shall wait further orders before I place the others in Irons if their subsequent Conduct Should not deserve it.
