His Excellency the Governor, that the
Maize crop which we have com-
menced pulling, promises to be
very abundant, and there can be
no doubt that often providing for
the wants of the Settlement, a very
large quantity will remain at
the disposal of the Commissariat
which we can commence sending
to Sydney the end of February or
beginning of March. ---

4 ..... No opportunity having
offered for forwarding to Sydney,
any prisoners whose sentences
have expired since 5th October
last, I beg leave to acquaint
You, that the number stated in
the 11th Par. of my letter of that
date, continues to increase and
upwards of one hundred now
remain at this Settlement, who
cannot be forwarded by the
present opportunity.
