Sir,
I most respectfully beg
to lay before you for the Consideration
of his Excellency the Governor my
humble Request for a Remuneration
in lieu of Lodgings & Rations Since
my arrival from Moreton Bay on
the 14th February last, upon
[underlined] (Government duty) the Expenses I
have incurred are heavy and my
pay being Small; I humbly trust
that his Excellency will grant
my request. ----
I am further Emboldened
to make this Request from the
Circumstances of Mr Hamilton
(formerly Clerk to the Commandant
at Norfolk Island), having
