The Petition of John Grayston
per (Shipley 1) a prisoner for life

Most humbly sheweth.

That your Petitioner was convicted
of Street-robbery at the Crim: Court Sydney
3rd October 1826. and sentenced 7 years.

That your Petitioner arrived at Moreton
Bay 28th December 1826 and has since
continued to conduct himself with propriety,
which he trusts the accompanying testimonial
will confirm; and his special good behaviour
for 6 years on the settlement will induce
Your Excellency to grant him a remission
of Colonial sentence agreeable to the
Penal Settlement Regulations dated
1st December 1831 and your Petitioner
will even pray &c
