Sir I have the honor to enclose the Petition of Mary Slaney, with the accompanying Memorandum from the Principal Gaoler, and respectfully request that you will be pleased to obtain the Sanction of His Excellency the Governor that her infant child May be permitted to accompany her to Morton[sic] Bay, to which place She is under Sentence of Transportation for Seven Years.
