I believe it was the intention of His Excellency the Governor that the Government Stock at Moreton Bay should be sold off in November; and should this be the case, I beg you may be pleased to acquaint me, as early as convenient, in order that Public Notice of the sale may be given in due time -

Inform Mr. Miller that I think the Gov't Stock at Moreton Bay should now be disposed of - agreeably to the discretionary orders given by the Leader of the Treasury - and if Mr. Miller agrees with me in so thinking request ... to give such directions in the matter ...may think necessary - & remark that the sale must be effected under his [deleted: directions] orders G:G Jul 18
