both decided against
Mr St George Gore in a
case brought by him, before
them as Magistrates,
it appeared to me unreasonable
in Mr Gore to press Mr
Leslie to sit as a Magistrate
in the case in question
against his inclination;
and although I could
not altogether excuse Mr
P. Leslie for using the
coarse expressions which
Mr St George Gore complained
of, I see that Mr Gore
provoked them, and as
they were not used on
the Bench, but after
the Court rose, it appeared
to me much better for
both parties that I
