Stand
The oratorium plans contain the
following accomodations:
The stand proper, isolating the
speaker from the crowd upon a platform 7 feet
above the ground:
This platform 36' long being 12 feet wide in
the middle and 6 feet wide at
the side outlet to
the steps: with simple accomodation of news paper reporting
in the rear
this platform are 7 risers 3 feet wide and foot high-
intended to accomodate committees
or band players back of who
is a on a level area: increasing the
accomodations as needed
The stand is covered with a
slanting from the stand which
acts as an accordian ceiling
The caps of the collums of the stand and the roof corners
are provided with incandescant
electric drop lights for constant use
while the body of said colums
and the cornice of the roof
represent an arrangement of some 400 lights varying in colors
for use on festive and special occasions
when also the flags and colors are to be
set into suitably welded sockets
for the more complete
decoration of the pavillion.
