Notice to Board of County Commissioners Columbia City, King Co Wash To the honorable baord of County Commissioners, King county Washington We the undersigned and all being legal voters and residents within the boundaries of the territory hereinafter described, respectfully petition your honorable board, and hereby make application to become incorporated as an in incorporated town under and by virtue if the provisions of the statutes of Washington, enacted and approved March 27, 1890, to be known and in corporated as the towm of "Columbia", and to include the following described territory all contiguous and being within the County of King, State of Washington, to wit: The North half(N 1/2) of the southwest quarter(SW 1/4) of the northwest quarter(NW 1/4) and Lots' 9, 10, 11 in B W John's and C H Hanford's five acre tracts, al in section No twenty three(23); The northeast quarter (NE 1/4) of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4); the southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of the northeast quarter (NE 1/4); the north half (N1/2) of the southwest quarter (SW 1/4) of the northeast quarter(NE 1/4); the southeast quarter of the northweat quarter(NW 1/4); the northeast quarter (NE 1/4) of the northwest quarter (NW 1/4), (the same now being lots platted as the town of Columbia); the northwest quarter (NW 1/4) of the northwest quarter (NW 1/4); the north half of the southwest quarter (SW 1/4) of the northwest quarter (NW 1/4); the northeast quarter (NE 1/4) of the southwest quarter (SW 1/4) the same being lots one (1), two(2), three(3), four(4), thirteen(13), fourteen(14), fifteen(15) and sixteen(16) of the plat of Sunnyside five acre tracts; the east half (E 1/2) of the northwest quarter(NW 1/4)of the south west quarter (SW 1/4), all in section No twenty two(22); the east half (E 1/2) of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of the northeast quarter(NE 1/4) of the half (E1/2) of the northeast quarter(NE 1/4) of the Northeast quarter (NE 1/4); in section No twenty-one (21); and the following tract situated in Section No fifteeen (15), and described by meets and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point six hundred and sixty eight (668) feet east of the corner to section fifteen (15); sixteen(16), twenty one(21) and twenty ywo (22), township

twenty-four (24) north if range four(4)east of the Willamette meridian, and running thence north seven hundred and sixty two (762)feet; thence east eight hundred and fifty-one and forty eight one hundredths (851.48) feet thence south seven hundred and sixty two (762) feet; thence west to the place of beginning, containing fifteen (15) acres of land; also so muchofthe south half (S 1/2) of the north half (N 1/2) of the south west quarter (SW 1/4) of the south west quarter (SW 1/4) as is not included in the description last before this; the south west quarter (SW 1/4) of the southwest quarter (SW 1/4) of the southwest quarter (SW 1/4), all in section No fifteen(15); and all of the lands included in Maynard's Lake Washington plat south of A street in said plat; all of the hereinbefore described lands being situated in township No twenty four(24) north range four(4) est of the Willamette meridian. The said territory containing not less that three hundred (300) people within the boundaries thereof, has an established post office with daily mail, and the needs of the community thereof demand a municipal gov. ernment of an incorporated town. Noticeof Election Notice is hereby given that an election will be held in the Town Hall in Columbia on Wednesday December 28th A D 1892 for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the Territory described below the question of the incorporation of said territory as a town of the fourth class to be known as 'The Town of Columbia" The territory which it is proposed to Incorporate is bounded and described as follows no : "Commencing at the south east corner of section 16 T 24, R 4 running thence west 40 rods, thence south 1/2 mile, thence east 40 rods, to the S E Corner ofthe N E 1/4 of section 21, T 24, R 4, thence north 40 rods thence east 80 rods, thence south 40 rods to the S W corner of the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 22. 8 having been regular and according to law do call this election is accordance withthe power conferred upopn then inSection 494 of [?]Code Volume 1 Said election shall be conducted in accordance with the General election laws of the State and no person shall vote threat unless he shall be a qualified elector of the county and shall have resided within the above described limits for at least 30 days preceeding said election. Voters shall cast ballots which shall contain the words "For Incorporation" or "Against Incorporation" of words equivalent thereto, also for persons to fille the municipal offices prescribed for municipal corporations of the 4th class. Viz: One Mayor Five Councilmen One Treasurer by orders of the Board of County Commissioners of King County, Wash.
