The town Council of the Town of
Columbia met in regular meeting:
Mayor Peirson presiding
Roll called and councilmen Groat
Almquist & Chase answered present
Absent : Calder
Minutes of last meetings
read and approved:
No Committee Reports:
On motion: platt of
addition as presented by Mr Fisher
was accepted and Mayor & Clerk
authorized to sign the same:
A motionwas made & 2ded that
an Ordinance be drawn and presented
at the next meeting providing for the
extension of penalty on St Grade
assessments be granted to March 1
Ordinance No 60 being introduced
at special meeting held on Nov 18th 1895 was taken
up on 2d reading and on motion
was passed and approved by
the Mayor.
Bill of the Post Intelligencer Co for
Publishing notice of registration the sum
of $5.80 read . And on motion warrants ordered
drawn on the emergency fund for the same
Bill of B B Dearborn printer: for
Ballots in the sum of $1.75 was read
and on motion warrant on emergency
fund was ordered drawn:
Application of Transportation Co
taken up. and after hearing Mr Hastings
regard for the same was by the Mayor
referred to the Council to act as a
committee of the whole:
Matter of collecting of St Grade taxes
laid over for business of new Council
