To the Hon Mayor and Common
Council of the City of Seattle

Your petitioners, being residents and
property holders along the line of
improvements herein asked for;
respectfully petition and pray your
Hon. Body to open full width and
make fit for travel (at the expense
of the city) the following route:
Broadway, northward, from
Mill St, to Prince St., thence Prince
Street, eastward from Broadway
through Peter Dean's Addition; and
we respectfully represent to your
Hon Body, that the country along the
above described route is rapidly
improving and being selled, and
some of your petitioners, besides
a number of other property owners
contemplate the outlay of large
sums in the improvements along
the said route in the Beautiful
Eastern and Kollucks, Lawlers' & Dean's Additions;
That there are allready a number of
families living in said addition
and the above is the most practical and
accessible route for getting in our
