Mr. President: Your Committee on Fire and Water to whom was referred J. A. Peebles & others for a water main on Baker & other streets would report that at the Supt says that he would get $40.00 cash for connections reducing the cost to $80.00 that the streets are such that they probably will not be graded for many years and the disadvantages under whch these people labor the committee believes entitles them to water but that the $40 usual be paid in before actual work is commenced.
