To the Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle: Your petitioner, Fred Bense, respectfully represents that he is a citizen of the United States and is a qualified elector of said City; that he has been a resident of said city for the past eighteen months; that he is above the age of 21 years; that he is the same Fred Bense\ who on or about July 1st 1889 was granted a license by your honorablebody to sell intoxicating liquors on the I X L Saloon No 2307 Front Street in the said city; that your petitioner is the owner of the Julian House, situated on the south side of Jefferson Street in said City, between Third and Fourth Streets; and your petitioner respectfully petition your honorable body to grant him a license to sell intoxicating liquors is said Julian House for the ensuing year.
