H. WILLIS CARR
P. O. BOX 1065
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

April 11th, 1894.

J.M.E. Atkinson, Esq.,
City Treasurer,
Seattle, Washington.

Dear Sir:-

I request that a warrant be issued to Mr. Geo. T. Wilson, in
place of Fire Fund Warrant No. 982, which was issued to S. Baxter & Co.
on November 14, 1891, for the sum of $317.78.

I purchased said warrant from S. Baxter & Co. and sent it to
Ambro Whipple of Meadville, Penna, who disposed of same to Mr. Geo.
T. Wilson
, also of Meadville.

On April 8th, 1892 the said warrant was stolen from the safe
of Mr Wilson, with, other valuable papers, and he has been unable to
get any information regarding same since that date.

I hold affidavit of Mr. Whipple and Mr. Wilson substantiating
facts as above set forth.

As the warrant was probably taken by some person, who would
not know its value or who would not dare undertake to collect it,
in all probability it will never be presented for payment.

Very Respectfully Yours,
