I propose to build for the Seattle fire
boat two sets of fire pumps with steam
cylinders 16& 1/2 " bore by 12" stroke each and water
cylinders 9&1/2 " bore by 12" stroke. All Inside
parts of composition; fly wheels, cranks and
connecting rods; branch steam and exhaust
copper pipes with throttles Finished hand
wheels water guages, cylinders lagged and
covered with brass, nickel plated all working
parts polished and all as per blue prints
and specifications attached
Cylinders properly tested in Chicago
Each set of machinery will be properly
boxed and skidded and delivered free on
board cars in Chicago within ninety days
from the notification of the acceptance
of the contract.
The price of these said fire pumps
will be eight thousand four hundred and
fifty (8450.00) dollars f.o.b. Chicago
