Seattle. Wash. Dec. 18th. 1893.

To the Honorable The Board of Public Works of the City of Seattle

Your petitioners, citizens of Seattle and many of them
among its heavy tax payers, would respectfully represent to your
Honorable Body, that the New Presbyterian Church, on the corner of Spring and Fourth Sts. is nearing completion; and that the
side-walk on both above named streets, is old, worn out and unsafe
for further use.
They would represent that the dedication of the church
will occur in about three weeks, when many persons will attend;
and that the church will thereafter be permanently occupied. The
basement of church is now temporarily used.
Your petitioners, would therefore pray, that your honor
able body at once order a new walk to be laid down, on Spring
and Fourth Streets, in front of said church, , that danger from
traveling thereon, be removed.
