That in consequence numerous accidents have occurred, resulting in loss of life and destruction of property.
That as said Grant Street Bridge is now being repaired
and as such proposed Branch Bridge will, if constructed, be some distance from the Railroad tracks and will be entirely
free from railroad crossings, all such dangers will be avoided and such accidents averted.
That such bridge is a public necessity and benefit and
should receive immediate consideration and Your Petitioners will ever pray for the same.
