To the Honorable Board of the City
Council;
Gentlemen
We undersigned submit a petition
[?] of time fothe conpletion of the
grade of Knight Street between Broadway
& Williamson.
For several reasons the work could not go
on as fast as it was intended & now we
meet with other difficulties which compel us
to ask your honorable board to grant us
at the very least three months more; ie: so as
to complete the work when Williamson Str
will be graded. This grade was authorizedd last
winter under the supervision of the City Engineer
Mr. Thomson; at our own cost; the greater part
of the work is done, but the remainder would if
finished now be a nuisance for us & the neighborhood
instead of being an accommodation on account
