fo the City of Seattle:
GENTLEMEN: Your Committee on Fire & water
to whom was referred a petition of [[H. Jones]]
asking the City to purchase of
him a certain portion of
his water system mainly
322 ft of 1 1/2 in pipe on [[Yesler Avenue]]
beg to report that this size of pipe would
be of little use to the City as a
part of its permanent water
system, and that the purchase
of this pipe from Mr. [[Jones]] would
tend to establish a bad precedent
in the city's relations with
owners of water plants in
the city. We therefore recommend
that this petition be rejected.
