Seattle Aug 28th. 1889 To this Honor the Mayor and Council of the City of Seattle Gentlemen Upon examination I find four hundred and twenty one dollars charged up against me for the Fifth Street grade. I am ready to settle the account of your honorable body will allow a rebate of fifty dollars. My Original sidewalk Sas removed by the contractor which was as good as the one put in its place. It fronted on Fifth Street one hundred and twenty feet. The rebuilding of my fence cost twnety dollars. Hence the reason for asking the rebate of $50.00 Very Respectfully Samuel Kenney
