To the Hon. House of Delegates and Board
of Aldermen of the City of Seattle Wash.

The undersigned lessor of that certain
two story frame building being and situate upon
the following lot piece and parcel of ground, which
is described as follows to wit: commencing on
the northerly line of Madison Avenue in John J.
McGilvra's Third Addition to the City of Seattle
,
at a point when the East line of Laurel Shade
Avenue
, extended crosses said Northerly line
of said Madison Avenue, then North 73.6 feet,
then East 72.0 feet, then Northeasterly 103.2
feet to the place of beginning, begs leave to [present?]
to your Honorable Bodies:

1st. That he has established upon said
premises above described a [institution?] that the same is at
a place which is now and will continue for
a long time to be a popular resort for the people
of this city. That at that point thousands of persons
congregate daily. That more persons visit this point
than at any other of the resort in the city.

2nd. That there is no license district for the sale
of spintous or malt liquors established at this
point or at any point along the western shore of Lake
Washington your petitioner prays.

1st. That a license district for the sale of
spintous, malt and various liquors be established
