Your Committee on Police, Licenses and
Revenue to whom was referred the Petition
of the Liquor Dealers Association for a re-
duction of the present Liquor License and
two Ordinances submitted in accordance
with said Petition beg to report as follows:

Your Committee believes that one of said pro-
posed Ordinances to wit: House of Delegates
Bill #146 - An Ordinance fixing the license
fee for the sale by wholesale and retail of
intoxicating liquor for one year from the
date of publication thereof, has been clear-
ly interpreted by the Corporation Counsel
as being a bad piece of legislation and as
likely to lead to litigation which would
be injurious to the rights of the City in
collecting the revenue from such sources
and on that account we cannot recom-
mend its adoption. This Committee be-
lieves that the other of said proposed ordi-
nances, to wit House of Delegates Bill
