To The Honorable Mayor and City of Seattle:-

The undersigned, your petitioners respectfully represent:-

That they are all and each of them citizens of the City of
Seattle, County of King and State of Washington.

That the extension of the license limits beyond the limits
established by the Common Council of the City of Seattle in the
Fourth Day of October, 1889, would be of great and serious detri-
ment to those parts of the City of Seattle which would be by such
extension included in the license limits.
That the limits proposed by the ordinance entitled "An Ordin-
ance Establishing a Saloon limit within the City of Seattle within
which limit licensees for the Sale of Intoxicating Liquors may be
Granted Pursuant to the Charter of the City of Seattle" now pending
before the Honorable House of Delagates to whom this petition is
herewith presented, include upon Yesler Avenue and Third Street and
other streets Localities of said City of Seattle devoted largely
and in part wholly to uses for residence purposes and also include
several of the leading churches in said city of Seattle.

That the passage of said Ordinance by the City Council will be
setrimental to the good order and quiet of said streets and a
great injury to the residents upon said Streets and to the people
