Be it remembered that on this the 3rd day of November A. D. 1890 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Seattle meets pursuant to adjournment and after recess: in the New City Hall: Prest. Geo. W. Hall in the chair — At roll call the following members are present W. H. Bogardus, F. W. D. Holbrook, Moses Korn A. S. Miller, F. A. Pontius, F. W. Wald, W. A. Snyder F. N. Wilcox Mr. President Hy. W. Miller City Clerk.

The following proceedings are had: Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved.

Petitions

Petition of J. C. Nixon for rebate on Liquor License of Hicock and Jally read & ref to the License & Revenue Committee.

Petition of Watson C. Squire et al for grading of alley between 2nd and 3rd sts from Jefferson to James Sts. read & ref to St. Improvement Committee.

Petition of L. W. Foss for sidewalk on University Street read & ref to St. Impvt. Com.

Petition of S. M. Sorenson for sidewalk on North side of Spring St. between 2nd & 3rd Streets read & ref to Street Improvement Committee.

Petition of Moone Land Co. et al for the grading of California Street read & ref to St. Improvement Committee.

Petition of W. H. Shoudy et al for modification of grade on Temperance St.

Communication from H of D stating B of A Bill No. 9 had passed on full vote as Amended: Amendment signed by Prest. and return to H of D for signature of their President.

B of A Bill No. 3 An Ordinance providing for the payment of work and material furnished and done by the Spring Hill Water Co.: Laid over from last meeting was taken up and on motion was indefinitely postponed.

Communication from the Fire Commission obtaining detailed Inventory of the Fire Dept. property as furnished by Chief Kellogg. Read & ref to Com. on Fire & Water.

B of A Bill No. 18. Introduced an Ordinance to regulate the practice in the Police Court and to provide for a clerk for the same. Read 1st & 2nd time and ref to the Corporation Council.

B of A Bill No. 14: Introduced an Ordinance constitiuting the Clerk a Purchasing Agent for the various departments and Bureaus under the Freeholders Charter and defining his duties as such Purchasing Agent read "&2" times and referred to Judiciatry Committee.

Report of Chief Munroe regarding street light for month of October read and referred to the St. Light Committee.

B of A Bill No. 16: Introduced an Ordinance defining the number of the Police Force of the City of Seattle. Read 1" & 2d time and referred to Committee on Health & Police.

The Bill of E. Sheppard was referred to the Board of Public Works as recommended by Utility Committee.

Bills of G. W. Seymore. Hy Burke John S. Christy were referred to Special Committee on Furnishing as recommended by Auditing Committee.

License & Revenue Com: reported recommending the issuing of the following Licenses Aggozi & McConnell Michel V. Donegue J. P. Hughes Thos. Jones & S. Ellicott.
