Board of Aldermen of the City of Seattle 113

Dec 5th Be it remembered that on this the 5th 1890 day of December AD 1890 the Board of Aldermen met pursuant to adjornment in the New City Hall. The Prest. Geo W Hall in the Chair: At roll call the following members are present: towit: W. H. Bogardus. F. W. D. Holbrook A. S. Miller. F. A. Pontius. W. A. Snyder F. N. Wilcox Mr President. Alderman Korn being absent

The following procedings are had. Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. The Board then repaired to H of D Chambers to meet in joint session whereupon Alderman Holbrok moved that the Board reassemble after the joint session for the transaction of further business. Carried. After the joint sesson the Board reassembled:

Committee Reports - The Finance Committee reported back H of D Bill No 26 A Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills. We recomend the passage of the Ordinance with the following ammendment. Section 1. To read 27141.57/100 there being the sum after $/00 to be added to the amount as stated in the Original Ordinance. Same being a clerical error: Report adopted as read.

114 Journal of the Proceedings of the Dec 5th And on Motion bill given 3rd reading 1890 and placed on final passage: The bill passed by the follosing vote. Inform Bogardus, Holbrook, Miller Pontius, Snyder, Wilcos, Mr President 7 Against Non! The Prest. of the H of D having signed the bill on call the Prest. of D of A signed the same.

The Joint Committee appointed to frame a new Salary Bill: Asked to read their report - Granted: After report was read Alderman Synder moved that the report be received as read. Motion was lost.

Alderman Mill moved to reconsider [B of a?] Bill No 7 as amended by theh H of D which was lain on the table at last meeting. Carried.

[B of a?] Bill No 7 was taken up and was being read clause by clause when Alderman Wilcox rose to a point of order: that a motion to reconsider [coned?] not be acted on until next meeting: Point of Order was sustained: Wilcox then moved to adjourn. Motion lost.

After some debate a motion was made that the Board adjourn until 1:30 P.M. Dec 6th 1890 to reconsider [B of a?] Bill No 7 as a Special Order of business. Motion carried.

Alderman Pontius moved that the Board concur in the ammendments of B of A Bill No 7 as made by the H of A; motion ruled out of order.

Motion made to take the B of A Bill No 7 from the table. Carried.
