vote stands In favor of adoption Collins, Jennings, Keenan, Kee-
zer & McDonald Against adoption none.
Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned

Be it remembered that on this the 7th day of April 1882
the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council
Chamber pursuant to law
The following Officers are present, to wit: His Honor the Mayor
L.P. Smith and Councilmen Thomas Clancy, John Collins,
M. Densmore, Wm.A. Jennings, John Keenan, Moses Keezer
and Charles McDonald
Thereupon the following proceedings are had:
the claim of John E. Brautigam for refunding Road Poll
Tax is secured and referred to the Finance Committee
A petition is secure from A.A. Denny & others praying for
the grading of Union Street; Thereupon the same is referred to
the Street Committee
A petition is received from Robert Krupe et al praying for
the grading of 5th Street; Thereupon the same is referred to the
Street Committee
A petition is received from M.V.B.Stacy et al praying
for the opening of Pike Street; Thereupon the same is referred to the
Street Committee
A petition is received from James Dougan praying for
the cancellation of certain tax certificates; thereupon the cause
is referred to the Finance Committee.
A petition is secured from McCombs & Co praying for
the rights to lay water pipe; thereupon the same is referred to
the Street Committee
The regularly monthly reports of the following City Officers
are received and ordered filed, to wit: City Attorney, Harbor
Master, Street Commissioner & Fire Warden
The report of the City Justice & The Treasurer are referred
