COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE
for 27 cents per yard; and R W McDaniels for 29 cents per yard
The Special Committee on Engine House are instructed to let the con-
tract for said grading to Patrick Forest and P Quigley for
20 cents per yard, their bids being the lowest, and in case
they will not take said contract as partners, then
the said committee shall not let the contract to one
of said two honest bidders
Ordered that the Special Committee on Engine House
be authorized to sell of tear down the house on the
lot on Second Street where it is proposed to build a
new Engine House
Ordered that the Street Committee be instructed
to examine all Stairways in the sidewalks in the city
and report that action if any, should be taken by the Council
Ordered that the Street Commission be and he
is hereby instructed to rail or barracade all dangerous places in
the streets and sidewalks of the City
Ordered that the Council now stand adjourned
until Friday Evening May 12th 1882

Be it rememberes taht on the 8th Day of May
1882, The CommonCouncil meets, pursuant to law as
a Board of Equalization for the purpose of equalizing the
general assessment roll of the City of Seattle for the year
1882
Present, His Honor the Mayor L P Smith and
Councilmen Wm A Jennings, John Keenan and
Charles McDonald There being no quorum present the council adjourns
until Tuesday Evening May 9th at 7&1/2 o'clock
