The following claims having been duly audited by the Council are
ordered paid by Warrants drawn on the funds & in the amounts fol-
lowing to wit:

And now the Council proceeds to consider the Assessment Roll
made & filed in pursuance to Ordinance No 288, pending which
the matter of such consideration is laid over until Friday Septem-
ber 15, 1882 at 7&1/2 o'clock pm
Ordered that an Ordinance heretofore submitted entitled "To
amend sections 6,7,8,9, of Ordinance No 289'' be & is hereby referred
to the Judiciarly & Legislative Comtee.
Ordered that the matter of James McNaught touching his
taxation on account of Jackson Street Improvement be & is hereby
referred to the Committee of finance
And now the Council proceeds to consider Ordinance No
306 the same being entitled "An Ordinance to provide for the levying &
collection of a special tax for the purposes of raising funds to pay for
"the grading & Improvement of Union Street underOrdinance No 289"
after due consideration said Ordinance is adopted upon the
